Questions
Questions students actually ask.
Is there a free trial?
No — but you don’t have to pay to see what Alogi does with your answers. Creating an account and taking the career reflection are free: twelve questions, then the careers that line up with you and why. Everything else opens when you buy 12 months for R199, paid once.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email support@alogi.tech within 7 days of paying, from the address on your account, and you get the full R199 back through PayFast, whatever the reason. Your access ends when the refund is made. The full policy is on the Refund policy page.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is one payment of R199 for 12 months, made inside Alogi through PayFast. There is no debit order, Alogi keeps no card on file, and nothing renews by itself. Inside the app, Alogi reminds you 30 days and 7 days before your year ends; renewing is a new payment you choose to make, and if you renew early the new 12 months start when the current ones end.
What happens when my 12 months end?
The tools pause. Nothing is deleted: your account stays open, and you can still sign in and download a copy of everything you entered from Settings at any time. Renew for R199 and it all opens again exactly as you left it.
Is the AI unlimited?
No, and we would rather say so. A year includes R25 of AI use — the mentor, CV and portfolio drafting, interview and practical-task feedback, and business plans — and Settings shows what is left. If it runs out, the AI pauses; career matching, application tracking, Skills Hub courses, the venture calculators and everything you have saved keep working.
Is Alogi only for university students?
No. It is for students at universities, public TVET colleges and private colleges. Choose your institution and your year or level — a university year, N4 to N6, NC(V) Levels 2 to 4 or a higher certificate — and Career Direction starts from your course. An N6 Business Management student, for example, first sees the office, HR, sales and admin careers their qualification opens, then the careers further study leads to, with the skills and Skills Hub courses for each.
Does Alogi get my marks from my university or college?
No. There is no connection to any institution, and Alogi is not affiliated with one. You enter what you want it to know — which is also why you can delete all of it whenever you like.
What are the three pillars?
Career Direction — work out where you’re heading: the careers your course leads to, the skills and Skills Hub courses for each, a reflection that ranks them, your goals and your marks. Employability — get ready to compete: CV, interview practice, portfolio, bursaries and applications. Entrepreneur — build something of your own: the venture workbook, evidence log, costing and cash-flow tools. Skills Hub courses sit underneath all three, and the AI mentor works across them.
Is the career reflection a psychometric test?
No. It is a structured reflection — twelve questions about what you enjoy, what you want from work and what you think you are good at. It does not measure ability and it does not decide anything. It gives you a shortlist and tells you how it got there.
Does Alogi apply for bursaries for me?
No. You apply on the provider’s own site. Alogi tracks where each application has got to, reminds you before deadlines, and never sends anything on your behalf.
Is the AI going to make things up?
It is built not to. It only sees what you have entered, it is instructed to say so when something is not there, and it is not given the funding listings at all — so it cannot invent a deadline it half-remembers.
Who can see my marks?
Only you. Not other students, not your university or college. Every table is locked to its owner at the database level, and we test that with a real second account rather than assuming it.
Do I have to use all three pillars?
No. Choose the goals that fit you — your dashboard leads with your main one, and every part of Alogi stays open whichever you choose. You can change them any time in Settings.
